CheddarCat: Hellcaster
Level Designer & Design Lead

Created within a simulated studio, CheddarCat: Hellcaster is a Unity-based rhythm deck-builder developed by a 12-person multidisciplinary team across ten one-week agile scrum sprints. I designed and implemented all eight levels in the final build, built transitions, encounters, and challenge rooms using team-created systems, and supported design direction and scope throughout production. The project was one of three selected from ten teams to showcase at EGX, MCM Comic Con Birmingham 2025.
ProReal
QA, Playtesting & Design Support at Rethinkly
(May 2023 – August 2025)
ProReal is a Unity-based, live-ops, browser-playable 3D sandbox platform. I joined in a QA and playtesting role, supporting internal and public builds through structured testing, regression tracking, and feedback, before expanding into more design-based responsibilities, including tutorial planning, interaction mapping, and systems prototyping.
Game A Week
Game Designer & Developer
(Jan 2025 – April 2025)
Over a 12-week rapid prototyping cycle, I independently designed and developed six playable prototypes, each created in a one-week game-jam-style sprint around a different theme and modifier. With no required genre or design focus, I used the open briefs to explore gameplay systems and level design. This page presents my three strongest prototypes, which earned two Best Overall Game awards and one Best Mechanical Showcase.

Level & Environment Designer
(Sep 2024 – Jan 2025)
Using Unreal Engine 5, I designed two original levels for an unofficial DLC-style expansion to Ashen. The levels apply player guidance, gating, verticality, affordances, and environmental storytelling to create new spaces consistent with the source game’s design language.
